Pine Mountain Keeping Others in Mind This Holiday

The month of November has been a busy one for Pine Mountain, an RVC Outdoor Destination, and December is already creeping up! The annual Thanksgiving lunch was successful and as joyful as they expected it to be – with about 90 guests (not including staff and family) socializing and enjoying the tasty feast (Be sure to check the Facebook Page for photos!). Now, Pine Mountain has just announced that they are officially a drop off point for the “Toys for Tots” program. Anyone wanting to donate can drop off new, unopened toys at the station in the lodge now until December 16th. General Manager Warren Adams is proud that Pine Mountain can assist in this great cause, and adds that “he cannot stand the thought of a child not receiving a gift on Christmas.”

For those of you who are not familiar with the Toys for Tots program, here is a little background. It’s a non-profit charitable program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. There are dropping off points all over the U.S. for anyone to donate new, unwrapped toys. The toys are given as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community, who then get to be a part of this special holiday tradition.

And, don’t forget that Pine Mountain is also featuring the “Mid-Week Fantasy in Lights” package, in which 10% of the proceeds will be given to the Salvation Army. A great package for families or couples, this includes TWO tickets to the famous Callaway Gardens’ Fantasy in Lights show, One concrete site (Azalea) with cable and free Wi-Fi, One bundle of firewood, and Two complimentary gourmet coffees in the morning. Value = $85, Pine Mountain's price = just $69. The package is valid for Monday-Thursday nights from November 19th to December 30th. If you’ve never been to Callaway’s Fantasy in Lights, you’ll want to see this. And while you’re relishing in the sites and sounds or relaxing by the fire pit with a cup of hot co-co, you can be comforted in the fact that you have helped to give back to those less fortunate.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
