RVC's Outdoor Destinations Participating in Tents for Troops

Starting this month, RVC Outdoor Destinations will be participating in ‘Tents for Troops.' This charitable program is a way for participating RV parks and campgrounds to say ‘thank you’ to the men and women who serve in the military. All of the company’s properties – Pine Mountain (GA), Carrabelle Beach (FL), Live Oak Landing (FL), and Catherine’s Landing (AR) will be signed up to offer free nights and discounts.

RVC’s participance in charitable events has always remained an important factor to the company’s principles. Every property strives to be involved in what they can within the community, especially if it is for a good cause such as Tents for Troops, a national message of gratitude.

“We’re always looking for ways to give back or show our thanks to the citizens who make a difference,” said Yale Spina, Vice President of Operations at RVC Outdoor Destinations. “We encourage these men and women to come to any of these properties to relax and spend quality time with their families,” he added.

Active military personnel and their immediate family will find two free nights of stay and discounts for additional night stay at three of the four properties starting in December. Catherine’s Landing in Hot Springs, AR will be open February 2011, so the special offer will apply then.

Pine Mountain, an RVC Outdoor Destination will offer two free nights at four concrete RV sites and four tent sites. Live Oak Landing, which is roughly four hours and 20 minutes from Pine Mountain, will offer two free nights on four of their concrete RV sites. Not far from Live Oak Landing, Carrabelle Beach, an RVC Outdoor Destination is offering two free nights at three concrete RV sites. Lastly, Catherine’s Landing will offer two free nights at four concrete RV sites when open. A 10% discount will be given for additional nights at all properties, and reservations are required.

RVC properties are known for having a variety of fun and relaxing activities, unique lodging options, and uncommon amenities; all while being located in some of the most beautiful and natural settings of each area. Along with RV Sites (and tent sites for Pine Mountain), all RVC properties have additional options for stay including cabins, Resort Cottages, and yurts. Guests can also enjoy the advantages of free Wi-Fi, concierge service, coffee, beer & wine sales, game rooms, and much more.

The Tents for Troops program was created this year by Toutle River RV Resort and is supported by ARVC (Association of RV Park and Campgrounds) and other participating campgrounds and resorts across America. The motto of the program is “Creating a place to enjoy life, away from the field.”
